Josh & Stephanie: Engagement
Josh and Stephanie are total and complete cuties. I honestly felt like I was working with a couple of models on a shoot for the latest Vouge Mag. They busted out the most killer swanky little outfits. *If you haven't figured this out yet, I am a big GIRL in the sense that I love funky/fun style and fashion... I am a total sucker for guys in skinny suits and girls in clothing that makes a statement. Well Josh and Steph were definitely right in my 'style' sweet spot. Josh busted out his fab skinny suite from Barney's coupled with his sweet Converse kicks...which made my hubby, Chris, weak in the knees, he has been begging for one for one of these skinny suits for the past 6 months ;). After seeing Josh's we may just have to make that happen
Josh and Steph drove up to Oklahoma the weekend I was there from the heartland of Texas for the shoot and I am just so glad they did because these photos of them make me melt. Josh is a musician and it is kind of funny the way we are all connected in this world, Chris actually recorded on Josh's last album.
Josh and Stephanie, you two are absolutely lovely people. Thanks for being so stinkin' adventurous with me. You guys rock.

Grober Family
So I get a call from my goofy friend Emily a couple months before I was headed to Oklahoma saying that her and her sister want to do family photos for their parents as an Anniversary gift. Emily's parents have been married 30 YEARS! I have a deep respect and admiration for married people who push through hard times together and Love even when it is a choice rather than a feeling. These two are loyal to one another, they persevere and more importantly they have FUN together.
When I asked Momma Grober what the key to a successful marriage is she said, "never stop having fun together, surround yourself with great friends and go on lots of trips together to keep your love fresh." I think there is a lot of wisdom in that... from the little bits of wisdom I have collected over the years, her answer seems to make a lot of sense. Momma & Papa Grober laughed a lot during the session. I think there is something magic that happens when people in love laugh together and don't take life too seriously. It was obvious to me why their marriage has lasted so long...
It was especially fun for me to get a sneak peek into my friend, Emily's life a little more. I think you can tell a lot about a person by where they come from. Emily... you've got good roots girl, I think that's why I like you so dang much. Thank you Grober's for sharing a little bit of the wisdom and love you all have gathered over the years with me.

Riley Family: Lifestyle Family Session
Now there are only two things you can do with cute kids.... A) EAT THEM or B) Gobble them up. That is what I wanted to do with lil' Jack and pretty lil' Karson... who by the way has the prettiest eyes of any little girl I have ever met.
This family is gentle spirited, kind-hearted and warm. They have a certain joy about them that is full of grace and humility. Their kids are beautiful reflections of the love they have showered them in. These pretty little kids will just make you melt..... OR just make you want to eat them up ;)
Thank you Riley's for giving me the honor of capturing your family during this sweet season of your lives.
