Allison & Brandon: Engagement

Allison Rhoads found me while doing a google search for her sister, Sarah Rhoads.... instead of finding her sister, Sarah, she found me ;). Allison and I share the same last name with the GOOD spelling. I think that's pretty rad.
Allison and Brandon have traveled the world. They are avid hiker's, camper's and explorers. When Allison told me about her and Brandon's love for the outdoors, I knew I had just the perfect place to take them ;) and it happens to be one of my very favorite places to shoot in Seattle.
These two are romantic and so natural in front of the camera. Enjoy Allison Rhoads and Brandon.

Today I am thankful for...

my amazing husband and best friend who supports me and dreams with me.
the talents and gifts God has given me and the opportunity to use them in a real way.
the amazing people that have been brought into my life, the way they have encouraged me, loved me, taught me and supported me.
our new little Seattle home ;)
our sweet families.
for the greatest friends in the world to spend thanksgiving with when family is far away :)
the list could go on forever... but today, like many others, I am thankful.

Leda & Jonathan: Engagement

This couple has honestly rocked me.... for so many more reasons that what I can mention here but here is a list that explains why I am that much greater of a person for having met them:

1.) They've got soul - as defined by webster this is a "deep feeling or emotion," they have this amazing depth to them that is like magic.

2.) They've got Passion - there is a certain kind of intensity about these two that I totally resonate with. Everything they do is with passion, enthusiasm and with intention. I absolutely dig that.

3.) They've got a humble confidence - You know those people who lead with love? That is these two. They have these humble hearts aimed at putting others first, coupled with a total confidence in the people that they are. What a beautiful thing this is to see lived out.

4.) They've got the gift of encouragement - After I met these two for the first time I left feeling on top of the world, feeling un-stoppable. Mostly because they are some of the most encourageing people you could be around. I also get encouragement quotes in my inbox from Leda that always seem to come at the right time, this was the last one I got, "What we vividly imagine, ardently desire, enthusiastically act upon, must inevitably come to pass." beautiful. simply beautiful.

5.) Jonathan practices chivelry ;) : This is one of those things that I am a total sucker for! Jonathan loves Leda. He puts her first. He opens her door, walks on the side of the street that cars are going by, he's just a total gentleman and I just love that! That's one of the things I adore about my own hubby.

So I could go on forever about these two... This quote by Mother Teresa reminded me of Leda and Jonathan, "In this life we cannot do great things. We can only do small things with great love." - Mother Teresa
