Jill & Ryan :)
Jill and Ryan are those kind of people who are just totally and completely comfortable in their own skin. I love that. With a style that is unique to themselves and hearts of gold, these two appreciate the finer things in life such as a good latte, poetry, art & photography :) Ryan is actually a photographer as well.
As an artist I think it is so important that we are truly fascinated with our subjects. Let's just say that came effortlessly with these two. After our very first meeting I just knew these two got what "Sarah Rhoads Photo" is all about. I truly feel an authentic connection to these two. Our session ended up going for about 3 hours and we could have gone longer :). Jill and Ryan thank you so much for allowing me the freedom to dance in the sun of being me as an artist on Saturday. I just adore you two and cannot wait for your wedding in May!
Yes it's true, I go to desperate measures to get a shot :) These two were so adventurous, they are sitting on a little rock in the middle of Lake Union, this might be my favorite of the day...
I LOVED Jill and Ryan's tattoos this one on her leg was especially beautiful. I kept finding my eye being drawn there :)
Ryan was lookin' sizzlin' in this one :)
Ryan & Jill had matching tatoos that said "Live" in German
You remember that old song by Sound Garden, "Black Hole Sun" This is what that song was written after. Volunteer park was someplace that meant a lot to Jill & Ryan.
And this might be my other fav of the day :)

Great Stuff! The black hole sun shot is the ONE! There is something VERY special about that image. I love the balance and body language. I have seen that in so many photos through the years. For something so over photographed, you came up with something fresh. It looks way beyond a portrait moving into a fine art image.
