My husband Chris and I are a husband and wife photography team in Seattle, but travel worldwide to photograph weddings, events, bands & really just people & storytelling in general. Jamie & Tim equal total awesomeness. First of all they are totally beautiful. How in the heck do I get all these HAWTTTT models!? Chris and I flew out to my old stompin' grounds in Chicago for their engagement session a couple of weekends ago. We hit up some of the most amazing locations while we were there, but I think my favorite was our adventures in Wicker Park. Jamie and Tim showed us this INSANE little hole in the wall bookstore there called Myopic Books. It was a photographer's dream :). And Tim scouted out this absolutely poetic street mural that just screamed LOVE.

These kids are cool. They know how to keep it real and Jamie was one of my very first friends in Oklahoma. She has a heart that is so sincere and her joy and encouragement is infectious to everyone she comes into contact with. AND you want to know something awesome? Jamie works for HARPO, which essentially means she chills with Oprah.... as if that is not cool enough, she has rubbed arms with a handful of fashion photographers that I totally respect but she recently got to chill with none other than my hero, Annie Leibovitz. Crazy huh? Tim compliments Jamie so well. He knows how to kick it and has killer taste in music and sunglasses :). I absolutely love these two together. This session was so much fun for Chris and I.

it's so hard to believe that we've been married a year. A lot has happened but it has gone by so quick! It has been the best year of my life being married to my best friend. I love him so much. You learn so much your first year in marriage. I've learned that our love roots are deep and can carry us through the rocky waters life throws our way. I just feel so overwhelmed when I think about my hub. He has supported me and pushed me to be the best that I can be in all things, spiritually, artistically, professionally. He's who comforts me when things are tough and reminds me of the greatness in me that I oftentimes can't see for myself.

Chris planned a little get away trip down the coast for us down to Cannon Beach Oregon I have never been any place like it. It was beautiful and it was exactly what we needed....
one year down... many more to come. watch out world.

Soonku & Jae just make me all giddy inside :). You know those people that you think of and can't help but smile? Their laughter and "goofyness" is the good stuff in life that I thrive on. Jae is an amazing cake artist and will actually be designing their wedding cake! I cannot wait to see how beautiful it will be! Soonku is an absolute gentleman and treats Jae like the deserving princess that she is. We went downtown Seattle to start the engagement session and then went to Parsons Park in Queen Anne. It seemed like a fitting place for their beautiful traditional attire that you will see in some of the photo's. So without further adue.... Soonku and Jae.

We just love us some Valarie and Lance. Everyone should have some Val and Lance in their lives :). You may remember them from their super fun e-session a couple of months ago.
How to sum these two up?
passionate, silly, lovable, kindhearted, expressive, rooted, strong.
Valarie and I have become great friends over the past year so this was a particularly special wedding for me. I was first a friend and then the photographer. I love that.
Valarie and Lance are so amazing. Their love for one another lights up a room, their love is so expressive and holds nothing back. Valarie and Lance's smiles on their wedding day were some of the biggest I have seen. It was truly a joy and an honor for Chris and I to be your friends and your "storytellers" on your big day. I hope you are soaking up the sun in Mexico you two!
